Green Innovation (TOYOLAC PCR ALLOY)

In 2019, 368 million tonnes of plastic were produced worldwide. More than 50% of the plastic production are contributed by Asia countries. After the use phase by consumer, the plastic products can be landfilled, incinerated (for energy recovery) or recycled (1). Data shows that only 9% of the plastics ever produced have been recycled, 12% was incinerated and 79% was landfilled or lost to environment (2).

By recycling the post-consumer plastic products, we keep plastics away from landfill or environment, achieving a three-win scenario for manufacturers, customers, and the environment. More people in the world have awareness on the green environment friendly & it was a trend in future for companies to apply green environment material into their final product.

In view of this, TORAY PLASTICS MALAYSIA had invested into the analysis & development of specialty ABS using recycle material as below:

Alloy grade (PC//ABS) which we named it TOYOLAC PCR PC//ABS where sources of Post-Consumer Recycled Polycarbonate (PCR PC) as major key raw material.

Alloy grade PC//ABS is one of the most widely used industrial thermoplastics. PC//ABS offers the most desirable properties of both materials the superior strength and heat resistance of PC and the flexibility of ABS allowed it to commonly be used in automotive, electronics and telecommunications application.

In view of this, TORAY PLASTICS MALAYSIA had invested into the analysis & development of specialty ABS using recycle material to produce alloy grade (PC//ABS) which we named it PCR PC//ABS where we source of Post-Consumer Recycled Polycarbonate (PCR PC) as major key raw material.

High Heat recycle ABS which we named TOYOLAC PCR High Heat ABS where sources of Post-Consumer Recycled ABS (PCR ABS)

High Heat ABS is ABS products modified to allow thermally stressed components to meet stringent stability requirements. It can be the material of choice for numerous heat-resistant applications, such as water heaters and automotive parts.

For applications that require a balance between thermal stability and cost effectiveness, High Heat ABS might be one of the solutions.
